RELEASE BLITZ REVIEW: Butcher by Leann Ashers

I would die for him and he would kill for me.
Butcher, the newest standalone the Devil Souls MC series by LeAnn Ashers is NOW AVAILABLE!
Full Blurb
He stalked me from the moment he saw me. He watched me day and night.
Butcher is what everyone calls crazy. They see all the tattoos and scars and to be honest, to most people he looks downright scary. He’s dangerous. He is after all the enforcer to the Devil Souls MC.
But to me? He’s just Butcher. I see him. I see who he really is. I see a man who will do anything for the people he cares about. I see the man who will protect and love me above everything else.
I am just as obsessed with him as he is me. I will die for him and he would kill for me.
What everyone doesn’t know is I have the same crazy inside of me...
Shay is one ba**** chick, I loved her attitude, and Butcher that man didn't mind his woman's feistiness one bit, "...follow Shay’s gaze to some want-to-be ole ladies in the corner of the field. I feel Shaylin’s hand slide from my hip to my back pocket, and she grabs my ***. I just got claimed." Butcher is one protective, possessive, alpha man, “you think I would allow anyone to see my woman?” I really loved this book, I love the characters and I really, really, really want Lane's book next.
                       Haven’t read this series yet?
Now is your chance to get caught up!

BLOG TOUR REVIEW: Toying With Her by Prescott Lane

Toying with Her by Prescott Lane Release Date: August 17th Genre: Contemporary Romance

Toying with Her, an all-new standalone from Prescott Lane is available NOW!!!

No one said finding love was easy, but when you invented the world’s best selling vibrator, it’s near impossible.  Yep, that’s right.  That little toy hidden in your bedside table is my brain child.  It’s aptly named Woman on Top.  And you know what they say . . . it’s lonely at the top.
So I’m headed home to my Southern roots.  It’s supposed to be an extended Summer vacation — nothing more.  But Rorke Weston has other plans for me.  Plans that not only involve me being on top, but also underneath him.
It’s been said you never forget your first.  For me, that’s definitely true.  No night has ever lived up to the one I spent with Rorke.
He’s turned into quite a man.  Tan from the Southern sun, and stubborn as the day is long.  And there’s nothing sweeter than the swipe of his tongue.
Rorke wants his chance.  The one we never had.  But that was a long time ago.  When I still believed in Prince Charming and Happily Ever Afters.  Even ten years later, I feel a pull.  And it’s not simply Rorke yanking down my panties.
Do second chances really happen?  Or is my heart simply toying with me?

I know exactly where I want this kiss to go now.  We don’t even have to move from this spot.  I can take her right up against the door.  My lips hover over hers, her chest rising and falling, my cock hard as a rock and pressed against her stomach.  The warmth between her legs calls to me, and I bend my knees, pushing into her.  She grinds right back.   “Just a kiss,” I whisper, unsure whether I’m telling myself or her. We never just had a kiss.  We went from kissing to sex in the same breath.  And while I want her naked in my bed, I want her for more than one night this time, more than just this summer.  I want that more.  I’m not going to make it easy for her to dismiss me, dismiss this as a one-night stand or a summer fling.   I’m not going to make it easy for her to leave me.  I’m going to make it damn near impossible. Winding my hand in her long brown hair, I lower my head, letting my breath tickle the skin of her neck.  Her body trembling, gently I trail kisses up her neck, letting my tongue linger ever so slightly.  She tries turning her head down to me, desperate for my lips, but I grip her hair a little tighter, controlling the moment.   “Rorke,” she begs breathlessly. I know she’s used to being in control.  Hell, the woman is responsible for more orgasms than any man could ever be.  Lifting my head to look in her eyes, I say, “I know you’re used to being in control of your pleasure.  But that ends right now.  When you need an orgasm, I’ll provide it.  When you want a kiss, I’m your man.  You may be the woman on top, but I’m the man holding you up there.”

I loved when we got to see the inside of Rorke's head and what he's thinking, "she giggles. “It’s very sweet you did this.” Sweet? Being sweet is not the reason most men cook for their new girlfriends. We want to get laid. The box of condoms I just happened to pick up while shopping for groceries for dinner pretty much confirms where my head is." Rorke is one smart man, “to get our clothes,” I say. “Your dad doesn’t need to find your panties in the yard. I don’t want to explain that one. I’d like to keep my ***k.” I loved this book, I fell in love with Rorke.

I loved seeing Nix let his guard down, “oh, that’s how it is. I see.” He started crawling on top of me, his handsome face animated with playfulness and lust. “You’re sexy as eff, love.” I liked this book, Becca and Nix were perfect for each other they complimented one another.

Maybe This Christmas by Jennifer Snow

Asher likes to talk while he takes action, “I can’t wait any longer, floor it is.” He laid her on the soft tan carpet. “I can’t believe you dragged me out to that thing,” he said again. “We could have been doing this all night. Now I have to make up for the missed hours.”  Asher sometimes has to give his lady some coaxing and praise, “I think it’s a perfect idea. You are very good at your job. I feel better already,” he said, taking her hands and sliding them up under his shirt. “I want to feel those hands everywhere.” I liked this book, I fell in love with Asher.

Raw Heat by Cherrie Lynn

Well now, Damien isn't a hard man to please, well on some things anyway, “for all I care, you can go out with your friends and shop all day. But the nights are mine.” You never know what's going to come out of Damien's mouth, some things just catch his girl off guard, “I’m going to put those shoes in the air later.” He said it so conversationally that it almost didn’t register at first. When it did, Emma nearly stumbled on the carpet..." I really liked this book, I fell hard for Damien.

Rule Changer by Sienna Snow

Thomas is an alpha, possessive man, " other man will ever give you what you need. You belong to me as much as I belong to you.” I liked this book, Thomas pulled out all the stops, I mean thebman was trying to win his woman and Carmen was just so stubborn.

Totally His by Erin Nicholas

Finn is obviously a very protective man, “I came to talk to you. But I wasn’t pleased to find you in here alone with the door unlocked.” He pushed away from the column with a frown." Finn sometimes has to repeat himself to make sure things process in his brain, "Sophie watched him swallow hard. “You slept in my shirt.” His eyes went to the room behind her. “In my room.” I really liked this book, Finn was like the sweetest man.

Game On by Lynn Stevens

A drunken Devon is a dangerous Devon, “what if I want you to take advantage of me?” His hand slipped onto my waist, pulling me closer. Heat rolled from his skin." Devon at times is overeager, and impatient, “your place,” he said as I slipped the car into gear. His fingers wove into mine, his thumb caressing the palm of my hand. “Faster,” he ordered. I pushed the speed limit the best I could in The Tank." I liked this book, I really loved Devon.

Protecting the Girl Next Door by Samantha Chase & Noelle Adams

Declan sometimes has a hard time voicing things, “Kristin… it’s not just—” I stopped, sort of faltered with my words. “I mean, I don’t just think of you like this.” Oh God. She’s going to think I’m an idiot. “I like talking with you, spending time with you. Does that make sense?” I liked this book, and I loved the scenes where Declan had a hard time fitting in.

Protecting the Movie Star by Samantha Chase & Noelle Adams

Being inside Cole's head sure is interesting, "...she moved her way down my body, much like I had done to hers last night. And when I felt her breath teasing at my hardened length, I was lost. Okay, so it was going to be a four-time thing. And I was completely okay with it." I liked this book, Cole was a very broody man.

RELEASE BLITZ: Cockloft by K.C. Lynn

Author: KC Lynn
Release Date: August 18, 2017
TBR Link: Goodreads

Cockloft: A firefighter term used as a structural space above ceiling and below rafters, often connecting adjacent occupancies and permitting fire to spread laterally, often unseen.

Gabriel Martinez is the most arrogant and infuriating man I’ve ever met. He has a knee-weakening smirk that makes me want to kiss—no—slap it off his rude, sexy face. Judging by his ego, you’d think the hose in his pants is as big as the one on his fire truck. Not that I know anything about that nor do I want to. Nope, not at all. He’s already been forgotten like last season’s Michael Kors.

CeCe Kensington is as pretentious and spoiled as they come. The ridiculous purses she shoulders around are as big as her attitude. And don’t get me started on her mile-long legs or full, glossy lips that are meant to be wrapped around a guy’s… If she only knew the dirty things I think about doing to that sassy mouth of hers, she'd be hightailing it back to her side of town.

✿¸.•´¸✿*´¨) ¸.•*¨✿

When the beautiful boutique owner and sexy firefighter meet in the most unlikely situation, their two worlds collide, creating an explosion of misperceptions and combustible heat, trapping them in a fire they never saw coming.

Gabe is a very prideful man, “I don’t think so, baby.” Catching the swing of the door, I follow her in and slam it behind me. “You are not going to challenge my ***k like that and just walk away.” Gabe is seriously one sexy man, "his lips kick up in a sinful smirk. “You said we needed to talk. Or did you just come here for a kiss? I’m fine with either one.” I really enjoyed this book, there wasn't a boring part anywhere, it was entertaining.

RELEASE DAY BLITZ: Havoc by Laramie Briscoe

Title: Havoc
Series: Moonshine Task Force #3
Author: Laramie Briscoe
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 18, 2017

When a marriage of convenience turns into the passion of a lifetime…

Holden “Havoc” Thompson

My job as the leader of the Moonshine Task Force is my life. I eat, breathe, and sleep it. The men under my command mean the world to me. Knowing they count on my guidance has kept my demons at bay for longer than I care to admit.

The control I have over myself is an iron fist that sometimes threatens to squeeze the life out of me. What I want more than anything is to live again – let go of the hurt smothering every bit of light I have in this darkness.

I don’t expect it to come in the form of a Moonshiner’s daughter needing my protection.

Leighton Strather

My whole life has been defined by who my family is. In the state of Alabama, we’re number one with a target on our backs. The danger and prestige isn’t for me. I don’t care about the money, and I care too much about the families we’ve ruined.

My brother and my dad are proud of it. They wear their arrest records like a badge of honor. Me? I want as far away from the lifestyle as I can get.

It’s the only reason I ask Holden to marry me. At least that's what I tell myself.

I never expect his whispered yes to cause such upheaval in my life. Even though I resist, I learn some havoc is good – and this one? It’s a whirlwind of lust, hope, and love and all I can do is let it sweep me away.

Havoc is one territorial man, "there are men watching her from every corner of this bar - some from the sidelines, some looking like they're about to make their move. "Eff this," I grab my beer and drain it, as I stand up and walk over to what's effing mine." Holden just can't hold his feelings in at times, “you’ve got me there, baby. I’m losing complete effing control when it comes to you,” I growl out between gritted teeth." Sometimes a woman just needs to hear that she did right by her man, “no, you did the right thing calling me. Me. You always call me. No matter what it is. You have a good day, a bad day, blow a tire, need a hug, need a roll in the hay. You need someone? You call me, I’ll take care of it. You feel me?” I really liked this book, Hqvoc was my dream man, I fell hard for him.

Close Contact by Lori Foster

Miles does not like other men sticking their noses in places or being around his woman, “I’d like coffee,” he interrupted. “And since it looks like we’ll need to head into town for it, we’ll let you get on your way.” There are times Miles has to keep his woman grounded, "Miles planted an arm around her to keep her from running off in a panic. “So we’ll order a pizza or something. Don’t sweat it.” I really liked this book, Miles was a take charge kind of man.

A Diamond for the Sheikh's Mistress by Abby Green

Zafir is a man who does not like the word no, 'Zafir’s smile faded and those unusual dark grey eyes flashed. ‘You refused to engage with my offer, which I do not accept.’ Zafir is one protective man, '...being held in Zafir’s arms as he strode through the crowd, saying angrily, ‘Where the hell were you, Noor? Those people were all over her…’ I liked this book, Zafir was a very dominant, alpha man.

The Italian's Christmas Secret by Sharon Kendrick

Matteo is one bossy man, ‘yes,’ he said firmly. ‘And you need to sleep . So why don’t you do that? Lie back and let yourself drift off.’ I liked this book, matteo just needed to open his eyes a little more and see what was around him.

The Witch and the Werewolf by Michele Hauf

Lars is a somewhat romantic guy, "he slipped both hands around and over her breasts and pulled her body back against his. “Inside you is where I always want to be.” This book was okay, I didn't hate it but I wasn't in love with it.

The White Lily by Juliette Cross

Friedrich is good on a woman's ego, “look at me, Brennalyn.” His voice trembled with anger, not unlike how she’d heard him today when he’d pinned her in the snow. “You are a whole woman.” His mouth firmed against hers, insisting she pay attention. She did. He deepened the kiss, penetrating with his tongue, all heat and strength, much like the man . He broke the kiss to skate down the side of her neck, nipping with teeth but not breaking the skin. “All woman.” I loved Friedrich, the bood started out a tad bit slow but then it picked up.

Royal Attraction by Tiffany Truitt

Ollie really needs to work on his skills, "...His eyes dart away from my face, scanning the crowd. He swallows. Hard. More than once. “You look fine. Good . Fine,” he mumbles before taking a long swig of his champagne." Ollie is quite the helpful guy, "...He pulls my naked, soapy body against him. “Helping you shower,” he growls as his eyes take me in. All of me." I liked this book, I fell in love with Ollie and his personality.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW: Beard in Mind by Penny Reid

Beard in Mind, an all new standalone in the bestselling, romantic comedy Winston Brothers Series by Penny Reid, is available NOW!

BIM-cover (2)
All is fair in love and auto maintenance.
Beau Winston is the nicest, most accommodating guy in the world. Usually.
Handsome as the devil and twice as charismatic, Beau lives a charmed life as everyone’s favorite Winston Brother. But since his twin decided to leave town, and his other brother hired a stunning human-porcupine hybrid as a replacement mechanic for their auto shop, Beau Winston’s charmed life has gone to hell in a handbasket.
Shelly Sullivan is not nice and is never accommodating. Ever.
She mumbles to herself, but won’t respond when asked a question. She glares at everyone, especially babies. She won’t shake hands with or touch another person, but has no problems cuddling with a dog. And her damn parrot speaks only in curse words.
Beau wants her gone. He wants her out of his auto shop, out of Tennessee, and out of his life.
The only problem is, learning why this porcupine wears her coat of spikes opens a Pandora’s box of complexity—exquisite, tempting, heartbreaking complexity—and Beau Winston soon discovers being nice and accommodating might mean losing what matters most.

She’d taken the sofa, in her own house, and given me the bed. That didn’t make a lick of sense. I crouched next to her, threading my fingers into the silky hair at her temples. “Honey.” “Mmm.” I bent to whisper, “Shelly.” “Hmm?” “I’m going to carry you to your bed. I’ll take the sofa.” “Mmm.” I grinned at her soft noises, at the untroubled expression on her face, and how her brow—even in sleep—still looked regal and stern. Sliding my arms under her legs and shoulder, I picked her up. And, unfortunately, that woke her up. She jerked in my arms. “What are you doing?” “I’m taking you to the bed.” “Don’t do that.” “I don’t mind, I’ll take the sofa.” Our mouths were just inches apart, and hers was distracting. She squirmed. “Put me down.” Sighing unhappily, I did. I set her on her feet next to the couch. The blanket pooled at her feet and I stepped back to give her some space. It was dark, but I could see her just fine, and that meant I had to force my eyes to remain above her neck. The woman was wearing two pathetic scraps of fabric as pajamas. A thin little tank top and shorts. That’s it. I set my jaw and turned to the side, waiting for her to walk past. “Where are you?” I glanced at her and realized she couldn’t see at all. She didn’t have a hand out, but the way her eyes were moving about the room gave away her blindness. “I’m here.” I didn’t touch her, because if I did, I wouldn’t want to stop. Shelly turned her head in my direction and took a deep breath. Still she didn’t reach for me. I didn’t know the specifics of what to expect after her Friday session, but I recalled Dr. West saying something about Shelly doing self-guided ERP exercises over this week. “Can you see?” She licked her lips, her voice sandpapery. “Because I can’t see at all. It’s so dark.” “I can see.” Unbidden, my eyes dropped to her body, to the swell of her breasts, the panel of bare stomach, the curve of her hips. Pinpricks of heat raised over my skin and I curled my hands into fists. She shuffled forward and I caught her before she bumped into me, setting my hands gently at her waist. “Let me take you to your room.” My voice was rough, for obvious reasons. Saying nothing, she brought her hand to my forearm, her body gently colliding with mine. And then her hand on my arm slid up my bicep to my shoulder. “Shelly.” I was running out of breath. “I like this.” “What?” “Touching you.” Oh fuck. I held still and endured her hands moving over my body, down the front of my shirt, stopping at the hem, then pushing it up. “Take this off.” I did. I pulled the T-shirt over my head and let it drop to the floor. We stood there, facing each other in the dark, not touching. Despite the session on Friday and the progress that had been made, I realized she wasn’t quite there yet. Dr. West was right, Friday was just a step, the first step. Shelly wasn’t able to initiate contact. Not yet. Her hands balled into fists and she swayed forward, her breath struggling little puffs. If anything was going to happen tonight, I had to initiate it. I had to be the one to touch first. God, how I wanted her. How I wanted her above me, beneath me, surrounding me. But how could I? “I know why I hesitate,” her voice was breathless, “but why do you hesitate?” “Lots of reasons.” “Give me one.” “I don’t want to you use you.” “I wish you would.” That pulled a laugh from me, just a small relief from the mounting tension. My eyes moved over her body, an undeniable impulse to devour the sight of her, her legs, stomach, chest, then up her neck to her lips. “You asked me on Saturday if sex was a big deal for me, or if it was you. The answer is both.” She held very still, and I got the sense she was holding her breath, straining to listen. “You are a big deal to me. I don’t want a fling. I don’t want a flirtation. I want promises.” “What can I promise you?” That you’ll love me. That I’ll be your priority. She shifted her weight from foot to foot. A spike of anxiety that she might leave me like this had me acting without forethought. I lifted my hands to her waist again and immediately, her fingertips skimmed over skin of my lower stomach in response, making my muscles tense in hot anticipation. She grew more assertive as she caressed my sides, abdomen, ribs, chest, shoulders, and then back down. Shelly stepped closer, a hint of thrilling contact between her breasts and my torso, and all the words and worries melted from my mind, died on my tongue, suffocated by the feel of her body, and the possibility of this moment. Her finger hooked in the waistband of my jeans. “Take these off.” Her hand turned, her fingers and palm cupping me over my zipper. Instinctively, I pressed myself into her touch even as I grabbed her wrist. “Beau, I promise—” She didn’t get to speak, because I kissed her, hard and wild, unbuttoning and unzipping my fly with one hand and bringing her palm inside my boxers with the other.

Shelly has no problem asking Beau for what she wants, “and no condom this time, please. I don’t like how they feel.” She slipped past me..." This book was okay for me, I just couldn't get into it, and that is so strange because this is one of my favorite series.
